The Work of These Hands Blog
I have never liked liked my hands. My hands are not thin and graceful like those of a "lady"... they are not weathered and strong, having the appearance of someone whose hands have accomplished hard work. No manicure stands a chance against the daily wear my hands take. My hands are small and pale... they are dry and wrinkly... they crack and peel with the weather and the frequent hand washing that comes with my career.
No one would ever call them beautiful, but over the years, I have come to appreciate my hands. They have a job to do and a message to bring. They might not be much to look at, but they have much to do. They are tools to be used in service to others, and I am blessed to have the work of these hands.
